I’ve been playing music since I was 9 years old, primarily studying trumpet. I started off learning classical music and performing concertos and orchestral pieces. I studied with Richard Brooks who was the principal trumpet at the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Then with Richard Brookfield while attending Phillips Exeter Academy. My friend from Exeter, Dave Douglas introduced me to Laurie Frink and I studied with her as well as Lew Soloff when I lived in New York.
During the Covid years, I started recording and playing intensely and in 2021, was a founding member of Natsukashii Soul—a quintet focused on jazz and neo soul. See the links below!
